VERA VLAJIC, screenwriter, cartoonist, animator and film director.
Graduated from the Faculty of philosophy in Belgrade, a group of art history. Professional from 1973, when starting to work "Zastava film”, as animator. First author's film " Uvo" realized by 1975. year for "Dunav film" Belgrade.
For "Dunav film" works for over twenty years, where is one of the main author of animated films.
"Avalin Studio of animated film" in "Avala film" Belgrade, runs along with Ranko Munitić and Rastko Ćirić in 1988 year.
In 1992. she starting and lead a workshop for animated film for children and young people "RAF-A2", which successfully engaged in film production. The workshop was attended by more than 250 children from inception to today and many of them are today professional dealing with animation.
She has worked on over fifty films of different genres, as well as animation for several television series for children and young people. Since 1989. to 2003. working on the RTS-Televizija Beograd, in several redaction as an editor and director such is science, children's, and for historiography.
Artistic director of the Belgrade documentary and short film festival in the period 2003-2007. year.
The festival continued with the Yugoslav Festival of Documentary and Short Film Films wich become internaional in 2004.
From 2008. - 2012. years President of the Association of film artists of Serbia - UFUS.
From 2012. until today realized projects in the production of "Movie drum Belgrade”.
Movies that is realized have participated in several film festivals in the country and abroad: Beograd, Zagreb, Berlin, Annecy, Bilbao, Drama, Espinho, Chicago, Istanbul, Cairo, Milan, Moscow, Los Angeles, St. Petersburg, Kerala, Vienna, Barcelona, Paris, Vizbaden..., as in many shows and weeks Yugoslav and Serbian film.
Participated in the work of national and international festival as jury member and organizer of domestic special program. She has received numerous awards and recognitions.
A member of the Association of film artists of Serbia - UFUS, The International Association of film animators - ASIFA, (branch of ASIFA Serbia), Academy of motion picture arts and Sciences AFUN-Serbia, European Film Academy - EFA.
